General Idea
It’s a great book that helps deconstruct the internal chaos that people face and provides different scientifically proven tools. These tools may be external and/or internal, which is key since she states that you’d need to do the work to figure out what’s best for your circumstance, as we are all different and unique and only you can figure out the answer.
- One key point I wished the author had emphasized more was that eventually you will get to a point of satisfaction and peace, but that does not mean the work is over.
- Our minds and bodies were made to adjust to anything, and since we are meant to be unsatisfied creatures by creating new problems, the internal work will be a continuous and ongoing problem for the rest of our lives and only us, as authors of our own books, will know how to resolve them.
Overall, this book receives a 4/5 because as an unsatisfied creature, it did not quench my thirst but the author did leave the world in a better place by writing it.
